Epic Showdown at the FIA World & European Rallycross Championship Finals in Istanbul

The 2025 FIA World and European Rallycross Championship finals were hosted at TOSFED Istanbul Park on September 20–21, organized by the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Spor Toto, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and Tuzla Municipality.

At World RX of Türkiye, rallycross stars delivered adrenaline-fueled action on the half-asphalt, half-gravel track. The event, which brought together electric and combustion-powered cars in fierce duels, attracted strong attention from motorsport fans, reaching a total of 22,000 ticket sales.

After thrilling battles, Johan Kristoffersson claimed his eighth FIA World Rallycross Championship title, repeating last year’s success in Istanbul. In the Euro RX1 category, Yury Belevskiy delivered an outstanding performance to secure the European crown, while Joao Ribeiro was crowned champion in Euro RX3. The event was further highlighted by spectacular drift shows from the Turkish Drift Championship drivers.

TOSFED President Eren Üçlertoprağı emphasized the significance of the event, noting:

“FIA Vice President and senior officials evaluated the weekend as the most successful rallycross event of the season. We witnessed thrilling races in front of packed grandstands. We extend our gratitude to the ministries, institutions, media representatives, and especially to the enthusiastic spectators who filled the stands across both days.”
